New Earth – remembering the dream

A new island is forming from the flanks of Mauna Loa, an existing volcano, located 22 miles off the southeast coast of the Big Island, Hawaii. This is the youngest volcano growing within the Pacific Ring of Fire, over which all the Hawaiian Islands stretch. It is expected to emerge from the sea in approximately 10,000 to 100,000 years. Currently, it remains over 900 meters below the ocean’s surface.

Formerly known as Lōʻihi, meaning “long,” the volcano now bears the Hawaiian name Kamaʻehuakanaloa. This name represents the Hawaiian fire goddess Pelehonuamea, as she births herself from Kanaloa, the god of the ocean. The name Kamaʻehuakanaloa means “the glowing child of Kanaloa.” How beautiful!

This creation story reminds me of the teachings of the wise elder, Grandmother Sasa. She tells us that in times of upheaval, the birth of the golden child is once again possible. What a beautiful thought.

My interpretation is that when we focus our intent and balance the elemental waters and fire inside of us, we will give birth to our new seeds for this time; the seeds of our unique frequency to be of loving action for Pachamama and all who live with her.

Our bodies are like mini powerful volcanoes able to digest heavy energies and produce flowing new earth, fertile ground for developing seeds. I purposefully work with this when I feel stuck with heavy energies and repetitive thoughts, pain or simply when feeling out of sorts and needing inspiration. Most recently I have chosen to experience and understand the profound teachings of the Hatun Qʻero from Peru.

All of these teachings guided me to create a ʻNew Earth essence.ʻ
