Great Spirit is always with us

A week ago I lost my sunglasses and two pairs of glasses which I have never done before.  Later I found one of the pairs that somebody had kindly taken to a café which I returned to just in case they had been handed in. I had left them on the beach. What a miracle.
This week I had an operation on my eyes to improve my peripheral vision.
Today, I was walking in the fields asking Great Spirit what I could do with all the love and years of ‘life’ I had. I was experiencing an overwhelming feeling of love and not knowing where to focus and share this deep desire. I had been watching videos about black holes, the milky way and the huge existence of space that we live in and is all around us

“You are not a drop in the ocean, you are the entire ocean in a drop”
Rumi

I know that the one drop is so very important for we are the solution towards creating a better future for our children. Recently during my meditations I had had visions of ecosystems in the sea (I love coral), within forests and now in space.
I am currently on a course with Grandmother Eila from New Zealand ( A Spirit Aligned Life) and with the support of Grandmother Feather and Grandmother Flordemayo and Grandmother Taiha-Moetu.  The space that is being held for us is vast, personal, loving and sacred and all this put together is creating the environment for me to truly see.

‘When we love nature she will always support us’

Trees are also beautiful examples of smaller ecosystems. Home to birds, insects bacteria and fungi. They provide shade for what lives below the canopy and the fungi on their roots send messages, nutrients and medicine to other plants and trees nearby. I could write a whole essay on our beloved trees. I was so happy that the trees provided shelter for the injured buzzard.

Staying present and alert

So, today in the fields I saw a water butt and on the top was a very big bird taking a drink. I stopped moving and carried on observing. The bird toppled sideways and walk/hopped across the scorched brown grass and then buried itself beside the wire fence. Luckily there were no sheep or dogs in the field and I walked across and saw that its eyes were still open and that there was some blood on the top of its head. It was an adolescent buzzard. I knew that some other walkers were following me and so I asked to borrow their phone as I had purposely left mine at home. We phoned the RSPCA and a few wildlife centres but nobody could help and take the injured bird. As usual Great Spirit always speaks through the events that are happening around you. Eventually one of the vets near us said that he would have a look.

I had already taken my sweatshirt off and moved the buzzard to a less sunnier  spot away from the cold wind. Her eyes were still open and she was breathing though not moving. When I moved her she didn’t struggle at all. The vet had warned me that this was a sign of a very injured bird. I walked home a little deflated still connecting to her with love and healing energy and came back with my car about 20 minutes later. I walked across the field with a blanket and to my astonishment she was no longer there. I could not see any evidence of a dog or a fox or anything to suggest a struggle and so I presume she’d flown off. I was so grateful for our meeting and  the time we spent together before she flew off into the skies once again.

Messages from the buzzard

I know from the medicine wheel of the shamans that the eagle represents the east and the element of air and brings the support and love of Great Spirit. Eagles have eyes that see with 360 degree vision and they fly with a light heart soaring high daring to dream big. They know and see what communities and families need.

The message is still unfolding for me…perhaps I am healing a wound from my adolescence or perhaps my eyes will heal more fully or….?

As Puma Quispe Singona says, “I am ready yet not prepared”
