Rite of the Womb

Origin of the Rite

This lineage came through Shipibo elders in the Amazonian jungle. The rite was given to Marcela Lobos in 2013 and since then she has initiate many women into this lineage. I am honoured to have received these teachings from Marcela who is a dedicated to this path of healing for women.

This lineage is of women who have freed themselves from suffering and remembered the wisdom of their womb. In this remembering we become the Creatresses of the world we long for our children and children’s children.

As we heal our wombs and become stewards of life, our children also hear the calling to be Earth keepers. In this way, as we heal so does Mother Earth and all living beings. Remembering your powerful connection brings healing to the womb of Pachamama.

All healing starts within.

Join with me and become part of the lineage as we heal our own wombs and those of our mother’s, sisters’, and daughters’.

“Come cleanse and activate the seeds of manifestation from the Creator that are held in your womb”

We did not come into this life to suffer but to create with joy our deepest longings and highest destinies.

The womb is not a place to hold fear and pain

The womb is a place to create and give birth with joy

Creating Sacred Space

This is a beautiful water ceremony returning us to the waters where we came from. To become one with the currents and tides and the constant flow of consciousness and creation is a deep knowing of returning home.

It is important to create an inviting space to share with the lineage and other women receiving the rite.

If possible to receive this near a body of water is wonderful especially a lake or bay for it resembles the womb of Mother Earth. We want to share our healing with her too. If the ceremony is performed inside a photograph of water or place in nature that is meaningful and sacred for you is perfect.

The altar you create can be a little different each time. Ask for guidance from the lineage as you are preparing.

Set a cloth or coloured piece of material on a flat surface and a bowl of water. This could be moon water you have collected from the previous night. Add 13 candles around the water to honour the 13 moons of the next year. By lighting the candles the altar will be activated. I always add flowers to the altar and petals to the water creating greater beauty and reverence for all the gifts we are given. Our prayers will be absorbed by the water and petals which we offer to the earth for the healing of her waters.

At the end of the ceremony when we have all blown our healing prayers for the earth into the bowl of water and petals it is gently poured into the lake, stream or ocean near you or directly into the earth.

Nurturing the rite

Once you have received the rite of the womb you nurture its power for the next thirteen moons. It is possible to do this ritual one  day either side of the new or full moon if the exact day is not possible.

1 If you still have a monthly bleed the time to honour the rite is on a full moon. Find an intimate space and offer some of your blood energetically or collect some in a small container and pour it onto the earth. Please repeat these words and any other prayers that you are called to say at this time.

I release my fear so I may embrace freedom
I release my pain so I may embrace joy
I release jealousy so I may embrace sisterhood
I release my anger so I may embrace compassion
I release my sadness so I may embrace peace.

2 If. You are in your menopause the moon ceremony is performed on a dark or new moon. In your sacred and intimate space offer red wine or red juice to the earth whilst repeating from your whole being.

I release my fear so I may embrace freedom
I release my pain so I may embrace joy
I release jealousy so I may embrace sisterhood
I release my anger so I may embrace compassion
I release my sadness so I may embrace peace.

3 If you are pregnant you can also remember the lineage and offer flowers at the full moon for the new gift of life you carry in your womb. You can repeat these words and any others that you feel called to say.

I release my fear so I may embrace freedom
I release my pain so I may embrace joy.
I release doubt so I may embrace truth

Payment

The Rite of Womb was given to women as an act of unconditional love and compassion and so it is in this spirit of connection that it is passed on. For me it is a joyful blessing and deep healing prayer.

I ask for donations to cover my time and the practical costs involved.
