Description
This delicate flower grows straight from the truck and branches of the tree. Each flower blooms for only one day and so it is a wonder to see such an amazing fruit pod fully formed and ready for harvest after 5 months. The male part of the flower releases pollen in the early morning and help from ants and tiny flies is then needed to fertilise the female part. The ‘Spirit’ of the cacao which is often referred to as ‘Food of the Gods’ has been drunk in South America by many indigenous tribes for centuries. Cacao means ‘bitter water’ the taste often identified with the heart. It is recognised today as a superfood for the many beneficial nutrients and plant compounds it contains.
This essence was made on a new moon in March 2024
The vibration of the essence is preserved in filtered water and vodka at 8.4% alcohol.
